Comparison
Berryin vs. a traditional standalone POS
A till that only knows about the counter leaves online, kitchen and delivery to be stitched together by hand.
Integration is the hidden cost
Separate POS, ordering and delivery tools mean duplicate menus and reports that never quite agree.
No proprietary hardware
Berryin runs in a browser on the Windows or Android terminals you already have.
One number at end of day
Counter and online sales reconcile automatically because they were never separate.
Side by side
| Criterion | Berryin | Traditional POS |
|---|---|---|
| Online ordering | Built in, same menu | Separate product or add-on |
| Kitchen display | Built in | Usually a separate purchase |
| Delivery and riders | Built in | Rarely included |
| Reporting | One dashboard for every channel | Counter only; the rest exported |
| Menu updates | Once, everywhere | Per system |
| Hardware | Runs in a browser on standard terminals | Often proprietary |
| Adding a branch | A login | A new installation |
Where standalone POS still makes sense
If you have no online ordering, no delivery and no plans for either, a good standalone POS is a perfectly reasonable tool and we will say so.
The calculation changes the moment a second channel appears, because that is when someone starts maintaining the same menu in two places and reconciling two sets of numbers.
Total cost, not sticker price
Comparing a POS subscription against Berryin’s is the wrong comparison if the POS needs an ordering add-on, a KDS licence and a delivery tool to reach the same capability.
The fairer comparison is the sum of everything you would need, plus the staff time spent keeping them agreeing with each other.
